U.S. Premium Elk is recognized throughout North America as a premium provider of farm-raised North American Elk. The burgundy colored meat of elk is a distinctively mild yet full flavored game meat. This delicious meat is not only delicious, but healthful. Elk is lower in fat, calories and cholesterol than other meats.

Because of its lower fat content, elk does not require as much time to cook. It is best cooked at high temperatures or grilled to medium rare. Overcooking elk, especially steaks and burgers, will make them tough and unappetizing.
